During its next sitting the Government will present financial awards to the Ukrainian prize-winners of the Olympic Games in Beijing. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed this opening the Cabinet’s sitting today, according to the government’s press-office.
Yulia Tymoshenko told that during the Government’s next ceremonial sitting the Ukrainian Olympians will get credit platinum cards “so that they could really obtain financial award from the Government”.
Yulia Tymoshenko thanked all Olympians, Minister of Family, Youth and Sport Yurii Pavlenko and President of the National Olympic Committee Serhii Bubka for successful and worthy presentation of our team at the Beijing Games. “Our team really looked strong, splendid at the Olympic Games in Beijing and provided Ukraine with 27 medals and took the 11th place according to team results. This is a wonderful result for Ukraine,” the PM emphasized.
Besides, as the Prime Minister told today the Government would consider an issue on rewarding sportsmen and those who trained the Olympic team for Beijing Games with Diplomas of the Cabinet of Ministers.
