Olimpiyskiy national sports complex and Kyivmiskbud holding company have signed an agreement on building and repair works to prepare the stadium to Euro-2012.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the agreement was signed by Olimpiyskiy acting director general Dmytro Chernyavskiy and Kyivmiskbud chairman of board Petro Shyliuk.

According to Ukrainian Minister for Youth and Sports Yuri Pavlenko, Kyivmiskbud was appointed as the general contractor upon consultations with heads of leading building companies of Ukraine.

“I’m confident that capacities of Kyivmiskbud, together with other building companies, will allow preparing a super-modern stadium at the proper time”, the Minister stressed.

He also turned attention to the fact that namely a Ukrainian building companies will reconstruct the stadium.

Asked about the number of subcontractors, the Minister informed that 12 companies were involved in dismantling works, and expressed a believe that a much bigger number of companies will be involved in building works.

Yuri Pavelnko also disclosed that a foreign company had been invited to control UEFA demands observation at building the stadium.

In his turn, P.Shyluk thanked the government for confidence and pledged to do his best to successfully reconstruct Olimpiyskiy.

The works will start on December 1, and are to be completed in December of 2010.
