Ukraine’s Minister for Youth, Family, and Sports Yuri Pavlenko is confident that Ukraine has completely fulfilled its plan of preparation to Euro-2012 for the year 2008.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this in Kyiv on Monday speaking at a meeting of Ukrainian Deputy PM, Ivan Vasiunyk and Polish Sports Minister Juri Pawlenka, who are responsible for organizing the UEFA European Football Championship to be co-hosted by Poland and the Ukraine in 2012.

“The today’s meeting indicated that the plan of actions on preparation to Euro-2012 in 2008 has been fulfilled, the main crisis moments have been overcome, and our Ukrainian-Polish team is entering with confidence the year 2009”, Yuri Pavlenko said.

In his turn, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Vasyunyk pointed out that the Ukrainian side also informed the Polish side about the recent changes in structure of the leadership responsible for organizing the UEFA European Football Championship in Ukraine.

The sides discussed their joint report for the UEFA Supervisory Council session due December 10.

According to him, Ukraine will inform UEFA about the “significant progress in the year 2008 in the sphere of solving problems”.

In particular, I.Vasyunyk stressed that Ukraine has finally solved the problem of reconstruction of Olimpiysky stadium.
