With a 3-0 home win

Dynamo Kyiv stormed through to the UEFA Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 home win over Paris St Germain on Thursday, Reuters reported.

Dynamo, who had managed a goalless draw in Paris in the first leg, broke the deadlock in the tie after just four minutes when Guinea forward Ismael Bangoura scored with a low drive from just outside the box.

A blunder from Mickael Landreau helped Dynamo double their advantage 12 minutes later, the PSG keeper punching a deflected cross by Olexandr Aliyev into his own net. Ognjen Vukojevic wrapped it up on the hour, following up after Landreau had failed to block a free kick by Aliyev. Dynamo will meet Ukraine rivals Shakhtar Donetsk or French side Olympique Marseille for a place in the final.

Cheered on by a partisan 18,000 crowd in their small but packed stadium, the home side put PSG under sustained pressure straight away and were soon rewarded.

The visitors struggled and had just conceded a second goal when they lost central defender Sammy Traore through injury.

Landreau made amends for his blunder when he denied Artem Milevskiy a goal with a spectacular save on the half-hour.

The Parisians, however, hardly created a chance until a header from striker Guillaume Hoarau went wide 10 minutes from the break.

Dynamo kept pushing and nearly killed the tie when Aliyev narrowly missed the target from a distant free kick just before halftime.

Paris briefly gave the impression they could fight back with a couple of chances by midfielder Clement Chantome and Hoarau early in the second half but Dynamo were soon back in control after that.
