Andriy Shevchenko`s Ukraine failed to get a victory away to Belarus, missing a chance to put pressure on second-placed Croatia in World Cup Qualifying Group 6, according to Goal.com.

Belarus held Ukraine to a 0-0 draw in Minsk, a result that will be bad news for the Ukrainians, who needed a win to keep the pressure on second-placed Croatia, who face England away from home tonight, in World Cup Qualifying Group 6 action.

After this match England are still on top with 21 points, Croatia are second with 17 points, Ukraine are third with 15, while Belarus are fourth with 10 points and now officially out of contention. England have played seven matches, while Croatia, Ukraine and Belarus have played eight.

Ukraine`s last two matches are against England at home, and Andorra away, while Belarus will face Kazakhstan at home and England away.

However, with Croatia losing in England tonight, Ukraine control their own destiny, as two victories in their remaining matches would assure them of a second-place finish and the possibility of entering the play-offs.
