After completing an 8-1 aggregate victory against Beşiktaş JK, FC Dynamo Kyiv are itching to face Manchester City FC in the UEFA Europa League round of 16, according to UEFA.com.

Goals from Ognjen Vukojević, Andriy Yarmolenko, Oleh Gusev and the evergreen Andriy Shevchenko secured a 4-0 second-leg win in Ukraine on Thursday. Despite light snow and temperatures of around -10C in Kyiv, playmaker Miloš Ninković quickly warmed to the prospect of taking on English side City in the next phase, playing the home leg first.

"What do I think of Manchester City?" said Ninković. "They can lure the best players and they have already gathered quite an impressive squad. I cannot even choose the best one among all these great players. Nonetheless, if we give 110% of our efforts, we have got a chance to proceed to the quarter-finals at their expense."

Shevchenko played in two Chelsea FC home wins against City during his time in England, scoring in one of them, but preferred to concentrate on Dynamo`s achievement against Beşiktaş. "The match was a real cracker for fans," he said. "I am also satisfied with my current form and to top it off, it is always nice to see your name on the scoreboard."

The 34-year-old`s late goal was laid on by Roman Eremenko, who has now provided six assists; more than any other player in this season`s UEFA Europa League. "All our players deserve praise for the eight goals we scored over two legs," said the Finnish international. "And special praise goes to the goalkeeper, who denied the visitors any chances."

Oleksandr Shovkovskiy did indeed have a fine night, but said Dynamo`s fans had also put in an impeccable shift. "I would like to thank our supporters," said the 36-year-old. "We are much more powerful and determined in front of a sold-out stadium." City may well be seeing that for themselves soon.
