All road projects of the program for EURO 2012 preparations will be completed in late spring – in April-May. Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov stated this in a comment for the Information Centre Ukraine-2012, according to Information Centre Ukraine-2012.

“Over the past two years a huge volume of work has been completed. Despite the debt pit Ukraine found itself after the economic crisis, we found the money to renovate roads. We plan to complete all road works in cities and between them in the spring – we have April and May”, Borys Kolesnikov noted.

He added that although UEFA believes aviation to be a preferred mean of transportation, everything that can be done to improve communication in EURO cities will be done. And commenting on the phrase by the UEFA Operations Director Martin Cullen that building Ukrainian roads will take 30 years Borys Kolesnikov said: “I am convinced that if our country will be honoured to hold the World Cup in 2026 or 2030 we can promise entirely new roads throughout Ukraine in exchange for this”.
