Ukraine and Poland are practically ready for the start of the final part of the 2012 European Football Championship, according to Information Centre Ukraine-2012. This emphasis was made during the TV link-up “Warsaw – Kyiv. 100 days before Euro-2012”. The current situation in Ukraine’s and Poland’s preparations for the European Championship was discussed during the event.

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov has noted that Ukraine had managed to make substantial progress during the recent 18 months. “Both countries are practically ready for the championship. Ukraine has got four new airports with three new runways, and it has also prepared four stadiums. We have accomplished this actually within 18 months. No-one in Europe has experience of this kind. I am convinced that the tournament will be held at a high level,” Borys Kolesnikov emphasized. He has also added that preparation for the tournament had become an important impulse for infrastructure development in Poland just the same way.

In his turn, UEFA Operations Director Martin Kallen has emphasized that preparations for the championship 100 days before its beginning are under organizers’ full control. “We still have to do much work during the three months remaining before the beginning of Euro-2012, but preparations are under the  full control of the organizers. Preparations are going ahead in a good way, and we are looking forward for the start of the championship,” Martin Kallen noted.
