The "Advisory booklet on crossing the border and security for the UEFA EURO 2012” was presented at the Ukraine-2012 press centre in Kyiv on 1 June, according to Information Centre Ukraine-2012." The booklet contains all the necessary information on crossing the border, the main security rules of the two host countries - Ukraine and Poland.

It also includes explanations of the rules on smoking, drinking alcohol and items which are banned from being brought into stadiums during Euro-2012 matches.

There is also background information – the phone numbers of embassies, hot lines and border customs services.

Euro fans can learn that, amongst other things, you can bring into Ukraine a maximum of 10,000 Euros into Ukraine without declaration, 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco products together, 1 litre of spirits (vodka, brandy, whiskey) and 2 litres of wine, 5 litres of beer. As to domestic animals, only 3 mammals, birds and 6-20 aquarium fish with documents are allowed to be brought in.

The information brochure was developed by the EU mission with the help of the EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM), together with the Border and Customs Services and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the two host countries - Ukraine and Poland, especially for Euro-2012 fans.

The print run of the brochure is 400,000 copies in eight languages - Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
