Shevchenko called yesterday’s defeat not so bad
He hoped Ukraine would show better result
National football team’s captain Andriy Shevchenko in an interview to German journalists said, he hoped Ukraine would show better result in the next game, according to Ukrayinska Pravda.
“I think in a match with Spain those first two goals we have missed broke the game of Ukrainian team. The third goal and Vlad Vashchuk’s sending off the field – everything affected the team’s mood. After 2:0 score from such a strong competitor it’s hard to win back,” Shevchenko stressed.
“The fact we were beaten 4:0 is not so bad. It’s not a very good start, but we are glad to take part in the World Cup. I’ve mentioned our team’s goal is to come out of the group. We hope to be more successful further”, he added.
