Ukraine moved into the second round of the World Cup on Friday when they beat Tunisia 1-0 through a disputed penalty scored by Andriy Shevchenko against a team reduced to 10 men in the first half, Reuters reports.

Shevchenko appeared to fall in the box when being challenged by Karim Hagui but referee Carlos Amarilla of Paraguay pointed to the spot and the Ukrainian striker converted the kick coolly himself in the 70th minute in Group H.

Amarilla had earlier sent off Tunisia`s Ziad Jaziri on the stroke of halftime for a second yellow card offence.

Ukraine will play the winner of Group G -- either Switzerland, South Korea or France -- in Cologne on Monday. Tunisia are eliminated with one point from three games.
